Director Joshi’s daughter killed in accident

Aishwarya and her colleagues died in an accident near Chennai when their car collided head-on with a tipper lorry.

CHENNAI: Three techies from Kerala were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry at Mahabalipuram near Chennai on Sunday night. Film director Joshi’s daughter Aishwarya, Radhika Ramachandran of Tripunithura and Arjun of Thrissur, all Infosys employees, were the deceased.

There were five people in the car which was proceeding to Chennai from Mahabalipuram.

The injured were Ashwin, 24, and Yesudas, 27, natives of Chennai. They were working for an IT firm in the Mahindra City at Chengalpet. They have been admitted to a hospital in Chennai.

Radhika Ramachandran of Indeevaram, Alappat, is the daughter of Ramachandran (Cochin Shipyard) and Indira (Union Bank). Ratheesh, who works with the Wipro in Bangalore is her only brother. It was two years ago that Radhika got a job with Infosys after she completed her BTech from Rajagiri, Kakkanad.

Arjun, 24, is the son of Dr A R Raju and Thandasseri Beena, Greens, K P Narayana Pisharody Road, Kanattukara, Thrissur. Raju is a lecturer of the Nattika S N College. Arjun has been an engineer with the Infosys, Chennai, for the last three years. Arun is his brother. The cremation of Arjun will be held on Tuesday at Vaddukkara crematorium.

Sad day for film industry, techies

KOCHI: It turned out to be a sad day for both the film fraternity and the IT community in Kochi. With the news about the accident spreading, people in the film industry rushed to director Joshi’s house in Panampilly Nagar. They made arrangements for bringing the body to Kochi.

Aiswarya, 24, is the only daughter of Joshi and Sindhu. Abhilash is her brother.

The mishap has shocked the IT community in the city.

“The lifestyle of software professionals where they work for night shifts and travel during odd times, has not been very common here. We are yet to come to terms with that. During night, heavy vehicles ply on roads making the situation dangerous. It’s only a matter of time before such an accident take place in Kochi,” feels Kochi-based IT expert V K Adarsh. Jay Jacob, another IT entrepreneur, adds that stress is another major factor that affects techies.

Bonded till their last breath

Tripunithura : Aishwarya and Radhika became intimate friends during their school days at Girinagar Bhavan’s Vidhya Mandir.

Both shared everything. Radhika, daughter of Alappat Ramachandran and Union Bank employee Indira, was residing at Indeevaram, near NSS College here.

After their Plus-II, both got admission at Rajagiri College of Engineering. Surprisingly, during the campus selection both of them got placement in Infosys and were posted in Chennai.In the wee hours of Monday, Aishwarya and Radhika, along with three other friends, were on their way back home in their own vehicle.

Even during their last moments, fate could not separate them from their strong bond as a speeding lorry collided head on with their car.

It is learned that Aishwarya was driving the car and Radhika was sitting next to her in the front seat.
