“Demand is high for the T-shirts in which the famous dialogue from ‘Oru Vaddakan Veeragadha’- Chanthuvine tholppikkan aavilla makkale - is printed. T-shirts with Mohanlal’s celebrated one liner- ‘Savari Giri Giri’ - is yet another favourite of the customers,” says Yesudas Thomas, Max X collections, Chembumukku.

Prices of these T-shirts vary from Rs 140 to Rs 185, depending upon the quality and manufacturers. But it’s not only dialogues of superstars that are finding a place on T- shirts.

The sensational dialogue by late Jayan in the movie ‘Angadi’ (‘We are not Beggars’) is also another hot favourite. Many also buy plain T-shirts and later get their favourite dialogues printed on them. “We charge Rs 80 for printing dialogues,” he says.

Not only filmy dialogues, but songs, proverbs and jokes too are popular on T-shirts. ‘Enikkoru pennundu karimashi kannundu’ (song from ‘Thilakkam’ is usually preferred by romeos), ‘Poochakkaru Manikkettum’ and ‘Oru Notebook Eduthal Oru Facebook Free’ are most commonly seen.
