Actually, that hits the screens tomorrow revolves around the incidents that happen in the lives of Sanu and Gopalakrishnan

Debutant director Shine Kurian’s Actually promises to be an intriguing  social drama that zooms into the lives of two middle-aged men from diverse backgrounds.

The movie revolves around two different incidents that happen in the lives  of Sanu and Gopalakrishnan and a group of youngsters who get involved with them. “Sanu is an aristocratic agriculturist while Gopalakrishnan is a city-bred man with a vibrant character,” says Shine. Sreenivasan portrays the role of Sanu and P Balachandran plays Gopalakrishnan.

When an unforeseen incident befalls, Sanu finds his life in tatters. Actually is about how Sanu and his family fight the incident.

The plot further revolves around Priya, an ordinary village belle, with a  hidden agenda, who relocates herself to a city. Very soon she finds a  friend in Rupa.

Reality show ‘Midukki’ fame Sneha Unnikrishnan essays the role of Priya, while new face Anjali plays Rupa. Into their not-so-happening life enters Deepak and his friends. “Hemanth Menon plays Deepak, who by his parents choice, becomes a software engineer,” says Shine who has also penned the script. As Hemanth’s friend comes Aju Varghese, an online poet, who is a fun loving witty youth.

“The movie is a family entertainer telling a socially relevant subject with right dose of humour, love and suspense,” says Shine who was into advertising and publication industry.

Ask the director about the title, he says, “I gave the title as it syncs with the realistic behaviour of the film. I also wanted a title that   communicates well with youngsters,” says Shine.  

Bhagath Manuel also plays a pivotal role in ‘Actually’, along with Jose Terrence, Lishoy, Chempil Asokan, Gayathri and Mini Arun.

Gopukrishna P S and Ramavarma Kilimanoor has composed the music. “Mundiri valli... sung by Siddharth Menon has already garnered rave reviews,” says Shine.

The camera is cranked by James Chris and editing is by Mendos Antony. The movie is being produced under the banner of Right Turn Films.
