A wacky movie that narrates the fun side of an accident is ‘Medulla Oblongata’. A complete laugh riot, the film has a slew of young actors to pep up the screens. Directed by Suresh Nair, the film starring Rahul Madhav, Saiju Kurup, Arjun Nandakumar, Rakendu, Aavaana in main roles, will reach theatres next week.

The film has the tagline ‘it could happen to you’. The director explains, “Everyone of us have experienced memory loss, atleast for a few seconds. ‘Medulla’ is the main character of the film. The story which is inspired from a real life incident narrates what happens when a man has a sudden memory loss.”

The film opens two days before to the wedding of a youngster played by Rahul Madhav. He gets injured while playing cricket with his three friends. To the dismay of the group, he loses his memory partially, and what follows is a hilarious set of incidents.

“The film happens within three days. The friends who are very close to him, stays throughout. They try hard not to reveal the truth during the wedding and reception. It gives way to many funny situations,” says Suresh.

The outing will be a complete family entertainer, says the director who adds that the young crowd should definitely watch the movie. “It is a very serious subject. I understood more about such cases when we started shooting. There are many such curious incidents around us,” says Suresh citing a few examples.

Interestingly, this has prompted the crew of the movie to do something to create awareness among the people. “We are planning for a campaign ‘Protect Medulla’ through which we will sponsor 200 helmets,” says Suresh who adds that the Transport Minister Aryadan Muhammed and Transport Commissioner Rishi Raj Singh have promised to launch the campaign.

The film has four songs among which the number ‘Pussmaria..’ penned by actor Ambika (Suresh Nair’s sister) is already creating waves through YouTube. While Balagopal is the music composer, Ishan Dev, Blaze and Kavalam Sreekumar are the singers.

The film is produced by S Madhan under the banner Vendhar Movies.
