Funny, youthful and entertaining to the core - Hello Namaste seems to have something for all sections of audience. Starring an ensemble cast and scripted by Krishna Poojapura, the film revolves around four youngsters played by Vinay Fort, Sanju Sivaram, Bhavana and Miya. “I would call it a comedy drama with a simple and hilarious thread. It’s a 2-hour film with a brisk pace and we have tried to make it sans any dull moments,” says director Jayan K Nair.

Hello Namaste follows Madhav and Jerry, Rjs and thick friends and what happens when they start living nearby with their partners. “Both the couples move to a villa and there starts a string of funny incidents. Though the film is basically a family drama it comes with a generous dash of comedy,” he adds.

Madhav and Jerry work at Hello FM and station and the biggest revenue generator for the station is Hello Namaste, a programme they do together. “Since the film zooms into the life of Rjs, the FM station and the activities there make an important part of the plot,” he adds. Bhavana plays Priya, a baker, while Miya appears on screen as Anna, the HR manager of an IT firm. Jojo, Mukesh, Aju Varghese, Soubin Shahir, Muthumani, P Balachandran and Sethulakshmi are also part of the cast.

He says the USP of the film will be it’s relatable screenplay “you can easily strike a chord with all the characters and situations they find themselves in. When we read the script for the artists all of them said that they have known such characters and gone through such situations.” The promotional song of the film composed by the band Masala Coffee is already a hit with more than a lakh hits online.

“Deepankuran, son of Kaithapram, has scored the music for the film and the melody ‘Kandu kothiche...’ is also getting incredible feedback,” he adds.

The film, produced by Dr Freemu Varghese under the banner of Freedia Entertainment, will hit the screens this Friday.
