Diwanji Moola Grand Prix decoded!

Director Anil Radhakrishna Menon has a penchant for giving his movies  a quirky title and it is no different this time too. His latest venture is Diwanji Moola Grand Prix and the shoot has already begun in Thrissur.

Well, we have the title deciphered. According to scriptwriter Prasanth Nair, who is also the former Kozhikode District Collector, Diwanji Moola is a place in Thrissur.

“The story is about a group of people in Diwanji Moola and their lives. It is inspired by them. And, of course, there is a thrilling bike race sequence and that’s how the words, grand prix, has been used in the title,” says Prasanth.
He added that the movie will have every flavour of the cultural capital. “Diwanji Moola Grand Prix is a tale that can happen only in Thrissur. The city forms a character and the background of the movie,” Prasanth added.
The scriptwriter said that the film will be an out-and-out entertainer, but with a social message. “Like every other Anil Radhakrishna Menon movie, there is an element of social commitment as well. But, it is packaged in humour and we aim to come up with an entertaining venture,” says the writer.

Kunchako Boban, as the lead, plays Sajan Joseph IAS. He looks dapper in the first look. Nyla Usha and Ketaki Narayan will play the female leads. Newcomer Rahul will also be seen in a significant role.
