Deepti Sati says her entry into Bejoy Nambiar's Solo was a last-minute one. "It came out of the blue. I never expected it. Bejoy sir saw my cover picture in a magazine and immediately asked his team to contact me. I didn't even have to think twice before saying yes," says the thrilled actor.

"I play the friend of Rudra (Dulquer Salman's character)," she adds.

For the actor, Solo was a great experience.

"It is an anthology and the concept itself is beautiful. Every story has a theme like water, earth, air and fire. I play a part in earth and it has an Army background. The only common elements in all these stories are Dulquer and Bejoy sir," says Deepti, who considers the stint as a learning curve in her career. She says both Bejoy and Dulquer are extremely chilled-out people and very supportive of her.

Apart from Dulquer, Deepti will have another Onam release with Mammootty also. She plays a Kochi girl in Shyamdhar's Pullikaran Stara.

"Both the movies are two extremes when it comes to treatment and story, but, equally interesting," she says. On working with father and son, Deepti says that while Dulquer was like a friend, she was quite tense about sharing screen space with Mammootty. "But, then he is so patient and gave us time  to get into the comfort zone," says Deepti.

So, what is the one common thing both Mammootty and Dulquer share?

Deepti is quick to answer: "Their professionalism and passion for their craft. Both express it in different ways but both are so prompt and passionate about their work," she says.Deepti will also be seen in Lava Kusha, scripted by actor Neeraj Madhav.

"It is going to be my first time dubbing for a movie in Malayalam. I am excited," she says. Lava Kusha is a comedy -thriller that will have Biju Menon, Neeraj Madhav and Aju Varghese in prominent roles.
