Anoop Menon plays a chauvinist cop in Sarvopari Palakkaran

Anoop Menon’s next Sarvopari Palakkaran will have him playing a  chauvinist policeman who is on a look out for a bride. According to director Venugopan, Anoop Menon’s character Jose Kaithaparambil Mani is an eternal bachelor who would only marry a woman who posses all the qualities he aspire for.

“Anoop’s character is someone who we see a lot around us. He is 38 and yet doesn’t marry because he wants the perfect woman. That’s when he meets Linta and falls for her. He gets engaged to her and moves back to Thrissur where he meets another girl Anupama. That is when his perception of woman changes for good,” says Venugopan.

The director says that though Sarvopari Palakkaran has a serious subject at its centre, the plot is littered with situational humour. “However, the highlight of the movie is how it portrays the two extremes of women in Kerala. While Linta is a coy and homely girl, Anupama is the another extreme.

In fact, Anupama’s boldness and character is so good that even the chavanist man respect her,” says the director.

While Anu Sithara plays Linta in the movie, Aparna Balamurali plays Anupama.Sarvopari Palakkaran also has Alancier in an important role. The movie will hit the screens on August 3.
