A revelation here: Nayanthara can actually smile. Some questions from audiences about her favourite hero or why she is still single don’t simply evoke her million dollar smile (or should we say one crore smile?), you could spot a real grin. The actress both reviled and revered for her glum look, opened up her friendly side in her chat with fans, organized by Sify, as part of her birthday celebrations.
‘I’ve had a very bad year,” she quips with a smile, adding on to say she also has only one movie in hand. “Perhaps, that’s what Paiya’s team thought when they suddenly announced that I’d have to cut on my fee. Maybe they thought I’d agree. But no, nothing’s more important than my respect for myself,” she adds. However, she is not averse to working with the director for another project later. “Maybe, depends on the situation then,” she explains.
A actress with a name for herself in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu, Nayanthara reveals that she has no fondness for working in Bollywood. “It’s too much competition there and is hard to survive in. I like the roles, the money and the respect I get here. I’ll not go to Bollywood for sure,” she says. An actress with a confessed liking for Sallu from his first movie, she adds that she will not take up an offer even if she is asked to star opposite him!
Nayanthara had also relaunched her website. Fans can now find more about South India’s oomph girl by visiting http://nayanthara.sifymax.com/
