Prithviraj and Priyamani’s Malayalam hit Satyam has been dubbed into Telugu as Satyam IPS and is to be released on January 1. Prithviraj appears in a powerful police officer role while Priyamani plays a journalist.
“Woven in the backdrop of a police saga, the film joins the bandwagon of superhits like Ankusam and Police Story in Telugu,’’ claimed E Madhu, who is producing the film under 9 Star Films banner, at a press meet in the city on Wednesday.
Vinayan is the director. Vennelakanti has penned the dialogues as well as lyrics. Jassie Gift has scored the music. Distributors of the film Anil Kumar, Bhumayya and Chandar were among those present on the occasion.
