VANNATHUPOOCHI, a movie based on the relationship that a small girl shares with her grandfather, is finally ready to hit screens after over a year's struggle!

Directed by Azhagappan C, shooting for the film was completed in June last year, with a censor certificate ready in September.

Despite its innovative theme, the movie is yet to hit the screens. With no big stars to lend glitz to it, the movie has been in the cans. "It is true the film’s release and sales have been lower than it deserved to be, largely because it wasn't star-oriented," says director Azhagappan, who had also penned the story, screenplay and dialogues, besides producing it. "All rights for the film have been sold to Balasubramaniyam, a city-based doctor, who showed interest in the project owing to its theme. We are now eyeing a May release," says Azhagappan, who is confident his movie will strike a chord with the audience for its realistic theme and acting.
