Aascar Film Pvt Ltd's Ananda Thandavam is gearing up for a February release according to its producer V Ravichandran. The movie, directed by Gandhi Krishna, is the screen version of writer Sujatha's novel Pirivom Sandipom. Expecations are high from the young cast consisting of newcomers Siddharth and Rishi apart from Tamannah and Rukmini.
The film has been shot in all new locations in the US that have not been captured onTamil screen so far. The first half is in India while the second is entirely shot in the US. For those of you who saw Bommalattam, and were impressed by Rukmini's performance in it, there's news to rejoice. This NRI actor is back in this film with an important role. "The story is about how a girl rejects the hero because she prefers an NRI groom from USA. But later the hero goes to the US and meets a girl who wants to marry a boy only from India," discloses Ravichandran about the interesting twist. Rukmini apparently loved the script and agreed to do the film immediately.
The camera has been handled by Sankar, an assistant of the late Jeeva. One song has been shot on a special boat house near the Courtallam falls. Thotta Tharani’s art direction is bound to be a hightlight in the film. For Tamannah, after Padikadavan, this is the next big release she can look forward to.
