After the stupendous success of his Telugu flick Kick, along with Illeana, Telugu offers are pouring in for actor Shaam. But he hasn’t abandoned his blow-hot-blow-cold romance with Tamil cinema. The actor is back with his next Tamil release, 'Agampuram'. Shaam was last seen on the Tamil screen in 'Thoondil' in 2008. “Now I play a don in Agampuram” reveals the actor. “But its not the typical don but a realistic portrayal of a bad guy who looks like a good one. Looking at him you can never guess his nefarious activities,” he adds.
Directed by Thirumalai (of 'Thee Nagar' fame), the film’s music is by Sundar C Babu. Four songs remain to be shot while 80 percent of the talkie portion has been completed. “The music is rocking,” says Shaam. Meenakshi plays a software engineer while Cheran Raj plays a bad cop and Anant Raj appears in a positive role in a departure from his usual roles. Shaam has a Tamil-Telugu bilingual to be directed by Suresh in his kitty along with another Telugu film produced by MS Raju. “Kick’s director Surendra Reddy is scripting his next Telugu film and has offered me a role,” beams Shaam. The icing on the cake is director M Raja’s remake of Kick in Tamil in which Shaam has been offered the same role he did in Telugu. Looks like 2009 has been lucky for this actor!
