HYDERABAD: Sushanth’s Curren t is going great guns at the box office.
And one could smell success as Sushanth, his mother Naga Susheela and producer Chintalapudi Srinivasa Rao prepared to detail the film’s stint at the BO at an informal interaction at the film’s office at Srinagar Colony in the city on Friday.
They organised a function Current Connecting Hearts at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram, Vijayawada on Sunday.
Chintalapudi Srinivasa Rao said that Sushanth’s histrionics, fights and songs sequences received applause. According to them, the film’s one week collections equalled 100 days collections of Sushanth’s first film Kalidasu .
While Sushanth said he was happy as the film’s openings were in accordance with expectations. “Moviebuffs have accepted me in the new role and it has boosted my confidence levels,” he said.
Naga Susheela, Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s daughter, who designed costumes for Sushanth in the film said that she had been receiving calls from many who said they liked the film.
As for her father, she said that her father had told her the film would go down well with family audience and youth.
“Instead of seeking the film’s report from fans, Nagarjuna had the report of the film brought from outsiders after the morning show and told us it would go down well,” Naga Susheela said. She maintained that Sushanth would consider doing a film in other banners, if the script is good. As for costume designing, she said she would continue to design costumes for all the films produced under Sri Nag Corporation banner.
