DEBUTANT actor Athithya just can't forget the experience he had while shooting his first movie 'Innoruvan' which was released recently. Produced by Chandrasekar's Akshaya Multimedia, the film is directed by ST Gunasekaran and has Athithya in the lead role playing a ragpicker who makes it big in life.

Talking about his experiences in the film Athithya recalls, ''We were shooting on a street near a garbage bin. The scene involved heroine Manoha walking her dog while I followed behind. Just as we were shooting, a local councilor saw me and started shouting. He did not know about the cameras around us and his eyes were only fixed on me. I was mistaken for a rag picker by him due to my authentic clothes and make up!''

''He told me to leave the place and stop creating more litter near the garbage dump. I had to calm him down and explain we were part of a film unit. It was a compliment to me since I looked so authentic in my role I guess!'' he laughs.

Athithya finished his B.Com and was helping his father in his business when 'Innoruvan' happened after many years of struggle.

''I play Shiva, a boy who believes that positive thinking can make him successful. Ultimatlely he becomes the owner of a paper mill from the ragpicker that he is. In many ways, my career also reflects this attitude since I never gave up my struggle to be a hero and today I am one film old,'' says Athithya.

The film stars Visu and M S Bhasker as well. ''Both of them along with director Gunasekaran, were very helpful and taught me a lot,'' recalls Athithya gratefully.

Now that he has received good reviews for his performance. will his positive thinking attitude take him higher on the path to success?
