She holds DFT from a film institute in Bangkok. Yet, this former student of DAV was anxious about her first day of shooting with Kishore in Jayam Pictures 'Bayam Ariyan'. Devikripa who debuts in this film says, “Working with Kishore was a big challenge since he is such a talented actor. But he gave me lots of tips and put me at ease by his down-to-earth behaviour.” She plays his wife and has no qualms about such a role despite her youth. “I want to prove my talent with all kinds of roles,” says the actor, who is not against kissing and skin show on screen. 'Bayam Ariyan' also has another Kerala find, Sanuja, the heroine opposite Mahesh Kumar who is debuting. A former production assistant, Mahesh worked in London before landing in this role. There is also another lead character played by Manikandan of Boys fame. Kishore plays a cop and Mahesh, a bad element. The movie has Ponammbulam in a big role and has been shot mostly in a graveyard. Another new find is the music director PC Sivan who gave up his lucrative IT job to enter films. “I am delighted that Jesudas has sung for me in my first film,” he says. SPB and Unni Menon have also sung some of the six songs written by Mohan Raj. Saravanan handles the camera.
