Simbu releases Naikutty audio
Actor Simbu was the cynosure of all eyes at the glittering audio release function of Evergreen Movie International’s 'Naikutty.'
Produced by VA Durai of 'Pithamagan' fame, the film is a comeback vehicle for the producer who had gone through a bad patch and has resurfaced with this film, which also had run into bad weather in the beginning stages. To felicitate his brave comeback were a host of Kollywood luminaries like K Bhagyraraj, SP Muthuraman, Ameer, Murlidharan, Swaminathan, Sakthi Chidambaram, VC Guhanathan, Kalaipuli Sekar and Vivega amongst others.
Simbu was confident that the new faces in the film would be a plus point for the movie. “People are more interested in watching films with newcomers and are recognising their talent. This is a healthy trend though it is a matter of concern for the known actors!” he quipped. 'Naikutty' stars Nicole along with new faces Selvin, Sasha sri from Malaysia and Suri who achieved instant recognition as the parotha eating guy in 'Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu.'
The story is set in the slums and Selvin plays a slum dweller while Nicole has gone de-glam playing Malli, a flower vendor. Suri plays an important role as the hero’s friend and has also been given a song in the film.
The director Sadaji has penned four songs while Vivega has done a Kuthu song and a duet. The music is by Kannada music director Vijaybharathi who is debuting in Tamil with this film.
