MUMBAI: National award winning actor Prakash Raj today married Bollywood choreographer Pony Verma at a simple ceremony here.
The marriage ceremony was attended by family and close friends.
The wedding reception held later at a suburban five-star hotel saw the likes of filmmaker Boney Kapoor, his actress wife Sridevi, actress Rani Mukherjee, and director Priyadarshan in attendance.
This is second marriage for the 45-year old Raj, who divorced his first wife Lalita Kumari to tie the knot with Varma.
The 45-year old South India actor, who has starred in Bollywood movies like 'Khakee' and 'Wanted', had won the National Film Award for the Best Actor in 2009 for the Tamil film 'Kaanchivaram', directed by Priyadarshan. He has also acted in Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam films.
Varma has choreographed for films like 'De Dana Dhan', 'Namastey London', 'Garam Masala' and 'Hulchul'.
