‘Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai’ goes to Toronto

Director Suseenthiran has yet another reason to sport a smile. His film ‘Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai’, which came in for considerable praise when it got released a few months back, has now been selected for the 36th Toronto International Film Festival.

Sources close to the unit of the film claim that ‘Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai’ is the only one from south India to be selected for the festival.

The film, which stars Appu Kutty and Sharanya Mohan in the lead, is to be featured under the Contemporary World Cinema category. The film, made on a shoe-string budget, emerged a surprise winner at the box office.
