A former associate with ace director Balu Mahendra, L Suresh makes his directorial debut in Tamil with the Vimal-starrer Ethan, produced by Kalavani producer Nazir. “The film is set in Kumbakonam and the shooting has been completed. The post-production work is on and we’re planning to release the film shortly,” informs the director. Set in Kumbakonam, the story revolves around the main lead Vimal who borrows money and plans to start his own business. “Jayaprakash plays Vimal’s father role.
While Vimal’s father wants him to join in a government job, Vimal’s aim is to start a business. After incurring heavy losses, Vimal regrets for having not listening to his father.
Taj Noor has scored the music and it has come out very well. There’s even a song on borrowing money and also how it affects the hero when he couldn’t pay back his debts,” adds the debutant director. Sanusha of Renigunta fame plays Vimal’s love interest. “Vimal has performed very well in the film and I think it’s a tailor-made role for him,” says Suresh.
