The fourth edition of the annual Edison movie awards was a star-studded event that took place in the premises of the Lady Andal School recently, attended by members of the film fraternity. While Endhiran bagged the Best Film Award, Silambarasan and Trisha bagged the Best Actor and the Best Actress awards respectively. Mynaa fame Amala Paul bagged the Best New Face Award for her performance in the same film, whilst AL Vijay walked away with the Best Director Award for Madarasapattinam. GV Prakash also bagged the Best Music Director Award for Madarasapattinam. Director Sargunam won the Best Debutant Director Award for Kalavani.
