Director Keera is happy about the positive reviews for his debut film Pachai Engira Kaathu. But as a filmmaker working on small budget films, he makes an appeal to big producers — that they announce the release of their films at least 10 days in advance, in order to help smaller filmmakers time their films’  release.

Keera is a short story writer and has two acclaimed short films Tamilu and Vadhai to his credit.

Keera, who has worked with director Thangar Bachchan in Pallikoodam and Kalavadiya Pozhudhugal, says a real incident inspired him to write the plot of Pachai Engira Kaathu. “My mentor Thangar Bachchan liked my movie a lot and offered to speak to media organisations to promote it. But I decided against it,” says the filmmaker, who says fans of good films should watch his debut movie.
