It’s out at last! The title of ace director Mani Ratnam’s next film is ‘Kadal’ and not ‘Pookadai’ as was widely reported earlier. The upcoming film of the director is being produced by Madras Talkies and will feature actor Karthick’s son Gautham Karthick and Samantha in the lead.
The film will mark Gautham Karthik’s debut as hero in Tamil cinema.
Apart from these two actors, Aravindswamy and Arjun too have been roped in to play important roles. AR Rahman is to compose music for the film while Rajiv Menon will crank the camera.
Editing for the film will be done by the award-winning Sreekar Prasad.
‘Kadal’, a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu, is the 14th film from the Madras Talkies banner and is Mani Ratnam’s 23rd film as director. And, for the first time in several years, the director is not going to work with Vairamuthu. Madhan Karky is the lyricist this time.
