One actress who was in the spotlight during the finals of the Celebrity Cricket League was actress Madhushalini.  The lass, who was found cheering for players non-stop, was the cynosure of all eyes and a favourite of the shutter bugs. “Yeah, I was present at the stadium to cheer the Chennai Rhinos at almost all their matches. I wasn’t there only for two matches because I had to shoot at the same time in Bangalore. I got a lot of calls from all movie industries and I’m happy that it has helped  make up for my absence in Tamil after Avan Ivan,” says the actress.

Madhu claims she was confident right from the beginning that Chennai would win it again. “I think after winning the first season, the pressure would have been high on them to retain the cup. Though they didn’t do well in the first few matches, the whole team worked hard and they made it happen again,” says Madhu. And for her, the matches have been so engaging like dramatic movies. “It was no less filmy. It was like a hero chasing the heroine, the villain coming in the middle and the hero defeating him,” laughs Madhu.

Madhu says she herself is a big cricket buff. “Sachin is my favourite player. I like Yuvraj as well. Virat Kohli is doing well too,” she says. So, who is her favourite in Chennai Rhinos? “It’s very difficult to name one. Vikranth is a good player. Shiva, Shanthanoo and Jiiva were doing well,” says the Avan Ivan actress.

According to her, the matches were on par with International cricket matches. “They are all actors and they played so professionally. Considering their efforts and strategy, I find them to be on par with International cricketers.”

Even if Madhushalini is getting a lot of offers in Tamil, she is selective about her roles. “I have just completed Ram Gopal Varma’s movie and might do a Telugu project next. In Tamil, I would like to do a bubbly kind of character, which is just opposite to what I did in Avan Ivan,” says Madhushalini.
