The 'Naan Kadavul' heroine has done it again! Pooja is most likely to feature in director Bala’s flick- tentatively titled 'Eriyum Thanal', and has already undergone a make-up test for the same. “I was in Chennai a few weeks ago and met Bala sir to do the screen test for the film. I’m actually thrilled to do another movie with him. We met and had a discussion about my role and the film, but I’m yet to confirm it,” says Pooja, who is currently in Sri Lanka.

However, when asked about her character in 'Eriyum Thanal', Pooja remained tight-lipped. “Being a Bala flick, the role is very realistic like my character Hamsavalli in Naan Kadavul. It will definitely be along those lines. Vedhika plays one of the leads in the film. I will know more about my role only when I sign the agreement,” says Pooja.

Interestingly, after wanting to ‘settle down in life’, Pooja had returned lock, stock and barrel to Sri Lanka, and currently lives with her parents. “I had wanted to pursue my career in acting, but with Naan Kadavul, my father felt that I had achieved what I wanted. Now, he wants me to settle down. This is why I have been refusing good offers that came my way,” says the actress.

But it looks like she couldn’t say ‘No’ to Bala, who gave her a platform to showcase her acting skills as a visually-impaired person. “Bala sir has been my mentor and taught me how to act. Also, 'Naan Kadavul' definitely worked very well for me. So, when I got a call from him about this project, I couldn’t refuse,” Pooja says. At present, Pooja has completed 'Kusa-Paba', an Indian flick shot in Sri Lanka. In it, she plays the role of a princess.
