The much-awaited celebrity wedding in the Tamil film industry, that of actors Prasanna and Sneha, will take place on May 11. A two-day celebration has been planned, including rituals of both their castes. So Prasanna will tie the mangalsutra twice, in both the Naidu and Brahmin customs.
“It is only when we were planning the wedding that we realized our caste was a factor to consider. We wanted to make our parents happy and have decided to include rituals of both our castes. Left to us, we would have been content with a simple wedding in a sub-registrar’s office,” said Prasanna at a press meet recently.
Sneha was present with her hubby-to-be on the occasion.
While the ‘Five Star’ and ‘Virumbugiraen’ actors have been in a relationship for over a year now, they declared it only after their parents approved of it. “Our parents needed some time to understand that we had made the right decision,” said Prasanna.
Sneha said her freedom was a major concern in choosing a husband, and Prasanna’s parents were really the people she had expected them to be. The couple has postponed their honeymoon as Sneha is yet to complete her work commitments. After the wedding, the duo will live with Prasanna’s parents. As for Sneha’s acting career, the actor said she hadn’t taken a call on that yet.
