The Deepavali season has just begun for Superstar Rajinikanth’s fans, as his birthday, December 12, is around the corner. This year is more special for them as their ‘Thalaivar’ has completed shooting for his next flick Kochadaiyaan after recuperating from a serious illness last year. While AVM Productions has already confirmed that the cult-hit Sivaji that marked the coming together of Rajinikanth with Shankar for the first time will come alive on silver screen in 3D, there is another announcement that is bound to make fans happier.
Choreographer turned actor Raghava Lawrence, who is a big fan of Rajinikanth, says that he is working on a music album to be released on December 12. He has teamed up with actor-composer Vijay Antony of Nakka Mukka fame.
He says, “I always wanted to do something for Rajinikanth sir’s birthday and it only recently struck me I can make an exclusive album for him. I’m happy that I could do this on a special date like 12.12.12”. Lawrence says that though there have been many songs praising the characters Rajinikanth has played in films, his album will be about the personality he actually is.
When Lawrence conveyed the idea to Vijay Antony, the latter seemed to be glad about it.
“He said he hadn’t gotten a chance to work with the Superstar and would consider this as an opportunity to work for him,” says Lawrence. He adds that the album might have more than one song, departing from the original plan and he would ask the lyricists after the tracks get ready. “We have different ideas for video portion, but we have little time to accomplish the dream. On December 12, every Rajini sir fan should sing our song,” he concludes.
