Vijay’s 'Thuppaki' is embroiled in a controversy over its title, but there’s good news from the film crew— the movie is getting ready at a brisk pace for a Deepavali release.
This has been confirmed by filmmaker A R Murugadoss, who took to a microblogging site recently to announce that his film would hit screens on Deepavali day. “Deepavali mudhal saravedi,” the Ghajini filmmaker has stated.
The action entertainer with Vijay in the lead, is likely to be the big Deepavali release of this year (November 13). The film crew is said to be working hard to complete the talkie portions of the film, in order to give post-production work enough time.
Kajal Agarwal plays Vijay’s love for the first time in this movie, which has been shot extensively in Mumbai. Vidyut Jamwal, who played a baddie in 'Billa II', plays the villain in this film too. Jayaram will be seen in a crucial role in the movie.
Vijay’s stylish look in the film has already generated a lot of interest about his role. The actor is said to play a cop in the movie. Harris Jayaraj has composed music for the film, and the audio launch is expected to take place in October.
With the title issue still in court, it is being reported that the movie’s title could be changed.
