with music and youth as primary ingredients, James Vasanth’s directorial debut Vaanavil Vaazhkai has a number of youngsters, who are immensely talented, acting in the film. With rivalry among college student groups as the premise, Vaanavil Vaazhkai has percussionist and third year BTech student Jose Selvaraj, who is excited about his debut.
“I play Fayaz, a drummer in the film. James sir wanted me to do the role. I was hesitant earlier, yet I took it up as a challenge. The character Fayaz is very similar to me, so it was easier for me to get into the character. James sir taught me to act according to the rhythm of the scenes. I had a chance to play for a gaana song and a couple of folk songs in the film. Now, I am very confident to take up acting in the future. I am very glad to be a part of this film. Audience will definitely enjoy the new genre of film,” he says.
