Aaranyam: A Mobile Phone Theft Shot in 60 Days

The film Aaranyam, which primarily features newcomers and is scheduled to hits screens tomorrow, is produced by Aaha Ooho Productions. The makers of the film say they were inspired to name their company Aaha Ooho Productions in remembrance of Nagesh’s production firm in the film Kaadhalika Neramillai (1964). The film has been directed by Kuber G and produced by the film’s hero Ram and his friends Subhash, Dinesh, Nanak. Sources in the industry say that the film is about four jobless youngsters, who end up stealing a mobile phone. The repercussions are serious and the four find themselves fleeing to the forest to save themselves. Says a source, “The crew shot this film in 60 days. They shot not only in villages surrounding Pudukottai, Viralimalai, Salakudi and Thrissur, but also in Thailand.” The film features newcomers Ram and  Neeraja Shaaji, apart from Ilavarasu, Singa Muthu Srihema and Theepetti Ganeshan.
