Rajesh, who has made wholesome entertainers like Boss Engira Baskaran (2010) and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2011), will begin shooting his next film titled Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru, which will feature G V Prakash in the lead, in the second week of March. Prakash will also score the music for the film.

Says Rajesh, “We are planning to begin work from the second week of March. We will start shooting in Chennai and have planned schedules in different parts including portions in Kodaikanal, Goa and Vishakhapatnam. The film has two heroines. Avika Gor, who has made a name for herself in the Telugu film industry, has been finalised to play one heroine while we are yet to decide on the other.”

Rajesh says that the team is in talks with Nikki Galrani for the other role. However, she hasn’t been signed on as yet. “We are looking to adjust dates because she has a couple of Telugu films that she is working on apart from some Tamil projects. We should be able to finalise the other heroine in a day or two,” says Rajesh.

Initially, Rajesh had hinted at the possibility of this film being a horror-comedy. However, the director says, “It is true that we were looking at the possibility of a horror-comedy. But when the script came out well, we dropped the ‘horror comedy’ idea, and decided to keep a twist in this rom-com. We’re excited with the way it has taken shape.”

Sources say the film is about the hero meeting two women during a journey. While one heroine falls in love with him, the hero falls for the other girl. Apart from Avani Gor and G V Prakash, the film will feature Prakash Raj, R J Balaji, Naan Kadavul Rajendran, Robo Shankar and Thambi Ramaiah.
