Anbumathi, who has written over 350 short stories in several publications and worked in television channels as a storywriter and director, is now directing a film titled Sandi Kuthirai. Sources say the film will focus on the problems associated with using a mobile phone. Says a source, “At a time when the mobile (phone) has become an indispensable tool, this film will look to showcase the problems associated with it. It will highlight the problems caused by selfies.” The film, which has been shot in and around Pudukottai, will have Rajkamal, a former television artiste, and Manasa, a debutante, playing the lead. It will also feature Delhi Ganesh, Kanja Karuppu and Bonda Mani among others.
