They say I’m like Bobby Simha: Jeeva

After playing the second fiddle in as many as 30 films, Lollu Sabha Jeeva finally got his big break as a hero in last week’s Aarambamey Attakasam. The actor who has worked with many top names in the industry says that his role in last week’s release was “a stroll in the park.”

Having been an assistant director during his Lollu Sabha days, Jeeva says that his popularity in television made it easy to be part of films. “That’s why I got opportunities to be part of films like Vijay’s Kuruvi. Some are comparing me with Bobby Simha, on account of my resemblance with him, but I want to have an identity of my own.”

After watching Aarambamey Attakasam in the theatres, Jeeva  is convinced he needs to get better at dance. “The audience at a popular theatre identified me, and volunteered to give me a few tips. They said they liked my body language, though. Going by their verdict, I don’t think I’m making a big leap in assuming that I’ve passed the test as a romantic hero.”
Next up for Jeeva is Kombu, a horror-comedy helmed by debutant Ibrahim. He also remains hopeful of Mundhanai Mudichu 2, which was mired in financial difficulties. “That’s all in the past,” he says.
