Producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu and director Susi Ganesan’s Mallanna, the most-awaited South Indian film of recent times, is set to release in over 1000 theatres across the globe on August 21.
While the film was supposed to be released on August 15, it has been delayed because of some last minute changes. The movie stars Vikram and Shriya Saran in the lead roles and its makers are planning to have a grand premiere, which will be broadcast live on TV. The producer is certain the film will do well enough to regain all production expenses in the first week of release itself. Kanthaswamy was shot in five different countries and is dubbed in Italian and Spanish. The music, which is given by Devi Sri Prasad, is doing quite well.
The movie is about the economic disparities between the rich and the poor in Indian society. An investigating officer of high rank (Vikram) is asked to investigate the country’s security and development problems. While investigating, he finds tons of unaccounted money hidden away by the rich all over the world under assumed names. He then uses his power and standing to distribute that money to the poor and needy. The adventures and challenges he faces while going ahead with his mission make up the best moments of the film. Thus, it is a superhero film with rationality to it.
