HYDERABAD: The audio release function of the film Josh was a grand spectacle.
Present at the rich-n-ostentatious occasion was of course the lead pair of Naga Chaitanya and Kartika, Assembly speaker Kiran Reddy, Naga Chaitanya’s grand fathers Ramanaidu, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, director Raghavendra Rao, Amala Akkineni, Mohan Babu, Nagarjuna, Amala Akkineni, Naga Susheela, Venkatesh, Balakrishna, Mohan Babu, Sandeep Chowtha, Dil Raju, Vasu Varma, Nithin, Chandrabose, Cinematographer Sameer and Radha.
Nagarjuna personally received all the guests on to the stage.
Sandeep Chowta of Super fame composed the music. Dil Raju aka Venkataramana Reddy who is regarded as the ‘Man with Midas Touch’ declared that he had given cent per cent marks to the film much to the relief of Nagarjuna who in turn maintained that he had seen the first half but didn’t have guts to watch the second half.
HIGHLIGHTS Except Chiru’s blessing to Naga Chaitanya over video, no one from Chiru’s family was seen at the function. The audio release of Josh was a carefully crafted and well managed event. The music CDs will be available from July 20 in the markets through Aditya. The film is expected to release very soon.
LAUNCHING PAD Naga Chaitanya was supposed to be launched through Dil Raju’s Kotha Bangaru Lokam. But Nagarjuna wanted that a pucca mass film should mark his debut. Later Vasu Varma developed a script which convinced both Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya.
“I was never groomed to be a heroine as I was brought up like every other teenager away from all the limelight in Mumbai.
I grew up pursuing my passion and what my mom was good at, dance,’’ says Kartika, daughter of former Tollywood dreamgirl Radha.
HAT-TRICK Dil Raju is confident of its success as it happens to be ninth film under the banner and is confident of scoring third hattrick.
Like his previous flick Kotha Bangaru Lokam, about 100 new girls will be seen in this film.
