Raghava Lawrence, who donned many hats in his previous films (direction, acting and of course, choreography) 'Muni' and 'Kanchana', will also compose music for the next flick in the hit comedy horror series.
With two Telugu movies, 'Don' (2007) and 'Rebel' (2012), to his credit as composer, he has collaborated with a friend who wishes to remain anonymous for this project, and has even recorded two songs for the film, tentatively titled 'Muni 3'.
The choreographer-turned-director feels that the songs in 'Kanchana' could have been done better and doesn’t want commit the same mistake in the third part of the series.
“There will be five songs in the film. One of the two recorded songs is an introduction song, while the other is a melody,” he says.
Lawrence, who says he is also paying closer attention to the dance sequences in the film adds, “I practised (dance) only for the climax song in 'Kanchana'. But in 'Muni 3', both the songs and the dances will be major attractions.” Interestingly, it was actually actor Nagarjuna who suggested that Lawrence compose music for 'Don', in which the veteran actor played the lead role.
The director, who has composed four songs for 'Rebel' is currently Bangkok for a 20-day schedule, working on the sets of the film with Prabhas, Deeksha Seth and Tamannah.
Lawrence, who will start working on 'Muni 3' from August, says the basic plot will remain the same for the flick, but promises to deliver a more gripping narration interwoven with love, comedy and horror. While he hasn’t finalised the actors for the film, he says that there will be a newcomer who will play the role of the heroine along with another familiar face from the industry.
