HYDERABAD: The state government on Monday announced 3 national and one state film awards for 2010.  

The NTR national film award will be given away to renowned actress “Urvasi” Sarada. She will receive Rs 5 lakh in cash, a memento and a citation. The BN Reddy national film award goes to director B Narasinga Rao of Maa Bhoomi fame. He will receive Rs 2 lakh in cash, a special memento and citation.

The Nagi Reddy-Chakrapani national film award will be presented to film producer and studio owner AVM Saravanan. He will be presented with a cash award of Rs 2 lakh, a memento and a citation. The Raghupati Venkaiah state film award will be presented to actor, producer and director M Balaiah. He will get Rs 2 lakh in cash, a memento and a citation. Eminent producer Edida Nageswara Rao has been selected for a special jury award.

The AP State Film, Television And Theatre Development Corporation Ltd appointed a jury with G Adiseshagiri Rao as chairman and Tammareddy Bharadwaja, K Basi Reddy and Kodali Venkateswar Rao as members. The jury submitted its recommendations to chief minister.  The five awards would be presented at a function to be held at Public Gardens here on March 23, said information and cinematography minister DK Aruna.
