One of the biggest success stories this year was the sensational success of SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning, which shattered all box-office records and took Indian cinema to the global stage. Rajamouli, who is known for his story-telling skills, gained national recognition for 2012 blockbuster film Eega. Rajamouli’s Baahabuli, which consists an ensemble cast of Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia, is about a deposed king (Prabhas) who must fight his brother (Rana Daggubati) to regain control of his kingdom.
What suprised the audience was the climax that has still been a hot topic among most Rajamouli fans.
When the film was catching up and the audience were engrossed in the tale of the young princes which forms the flashback, the film ends in an abrupt fashion leaving the viewers searching for answers. While the makers are busy with the sequel, many stories have been made regarding the story of Baahubali 2.
Though a few of these rumors sound real, the director has himself cleared the news asking his audience not to believe the rumors, also stating only he knows what is to come. The sequel, Baahubali: The Conclusion, to be released in 2016, is expected to answer the question everybody in the audience is waiting to know, “Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?”
