Managing a star cast of 25 senior actors was his greatest challenge during shooting for Brahmotsavam, said director Srikanth Addala.

Featuring Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead, Brahmotsavam has an ensemble cast including Satyaraj, Jayasudha, Revathi, Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani, among others.

“The difficult part was to bring them all together in one place. They are all busy actors so it wasn’t easy to get their combined dates,” shared Srikanth.

Despite the obvious challenges, Srikanth was always clear about what he wanted and refused to compromise at any stage.

“I was willing to wait in order to get their dates. Our story is based amidst a rich family in Vijayawada. It was necessary to have a big star cast as there are several crucial characters in the film,” the director pointed out.

Srikanth is working with Mahesh Babu for the seconf time, after the duo combined for Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC).

“Mahesh is 100 per cent a director’s actor. He has become an even better person now. Everybody knows about his stardom and charisma but above all, he’s a humble human being. His positive attitude was infectious on the sets,” Srikanth expressed.

Known for making family films, Srikanth said that he would stick to making films that he believes in but said he’s open to other genres as well.

“As of now, I will continue to do feel-good films but down the line, I will be open to movies from other genres as well,” he added.

Brahmotsavam also features Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Pranitha Subhash as female leads and is slated to hit screens on May 20.
