HYDERABAD: Veteran Telugu actor Pavala Syamala, who had been battling age-related ailments and financial difficulties in recent days, died following a massive cardiac arrest at Osmania General Hospital late on Monday. She was 75 and is survived by a daughter.
Born in 1951 in Amaravati in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, Syamala’s original name was Nethi Syamala. She lost her mother at a young age and began her career as a stage artiste before entering the Telugu film industry.
