Since the time of its inception, ‘Padmavati’ has been the centre of controversies. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film maker and the director of the movie was slapped and assaulted on 27th January, 2017 by members of Karni Sena who staged an angry protest at Jaigarh fort in Jaipur, Rajasthan where he was shooting for the film. Bollywood has expressed anger after Rajput Karni Sena workers created ruckus and vandalised the sets of filmmaker in Jaipur, saying the entire film fraternity should come together and take a stand.
