Nazriya Nazim, born on 20 December 1994, lived in Al Ain, UAE, before moving to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She started out in 2005 as an anchor at a television quiz show named Punyamaasathiloode for a Muslim audience, following it up with various other anchoring roles. Nazriya won the Kerala State Award for her 2014 film Ohm Shanthi Oshaana, a coming-of-age drama, where she was once again paired with Nivin Pauly. A Sify review praised her thus: 'The film belongs to Nazriya Nazim who plays the spoilt rich-kid protagonist and she is the film's biggest strength. Bangalore Days is one of Nazriya's biggest films to date for which she won the Kerala State Film Award. The film about the lives and relationships of three Malayali cousins who move to Bengaluru, was a runaway hit. Nivin Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy, Isha Talwar and Nithya Menon formed the rest of the cast.  The Tamil version of this film, titled Bangalore Naatkal, was released in 2016. She has been quoted as saying: “People just assume that you are not going to act after marriage, will stop doing romantic roles, and that every guy will stop his wife from acting. People who choose that are absolutely fine. I won’t be shocked if I myself do it later. But that wasn’t the case with us. And I do have a romantic hero in Koode, Roshan.
