Actor Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul have been releasing new photographs from their beautiful wedding, haldi, mehendi-sangeet ceremonies, and an after-party. The couple exchanged vows on January 23, 2023, at Suniel Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala. Check out the new pictures here!

For the Haldi ceremony, Athiya wore an ivory-coloured cotton Anarkali with a garara and dupatta by Ritu Kumar. It was embroidered with intricate handmade gold gota work. (Photo | Ami Patel Instagram)

The hand embroidery on Athiya's anarkali took nearly 2,000 hours, using an age-old technique of crumpling and folding the gota by hand to create mango motifs. Ritu Kumar stated that the royalty of Rajasthan were known to adorn garments in pure cotton with gota embroidery, and that they took inspiration from this and had 200-count cotton muslin weaved by Phulia, Bengal artisans.
