Monsoon rains cause havoc in different parts of the country

The states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh have recorded heavy rainfall, making life difficult for the people.

Several temples in Nashik got submerged in the flood water after a surge in the water level of Godavari river following the release of water from Gangapur Dam, which supplies drinking water to the city.
