You too have made the transition to Bollywood like a lot of popular TV actors. Was it part of your plan to start with TV and then move on to films?

The only inspiration in life is to do better, do work which I like ... everything else is just the outcome or the choices I am making. It’s not really like I have left TV or I have shifted. As an actor, I don’t even think there is a lot of difference between the two media. You are just supposed to act. I can act in films, TV or in front of the mobile phone.

What was it like to shoot for 2016 - The End?

It was fun. We have shot for around 30 days in Goa, Moradabad and other places and from the first day itself, we all got along really well. Looking back I feel ... the time passed by so quickly!

Why are so many TV actors suddenly getting into films or doing reality shows?

The reason behind this is that earlier we used to shoot round the clocks for 28 days continuously and we had no other time even if somebody offered us anything else. Those who were very keen had to leave one of the two media. They could not do it together. Now, luckily, TV work has become strictly 12 hours so you have time. It’s not like I wasn’t offered before but when you know that you do not have time at all, how will you go ahead with reality shows?

Which type of reality shows would to like to enter in?

I would consider dance-based reality shows and stunt shows. Bigg Boss? Never say never but I hope I never ‘have’ to do it.

What do you work for?

My idea, my intention, is simple; and I hope God blesses me with this. I don’t want to work for money. I just want to work for my happiness. Even if there is no TV and films, I am fine with theatre work.  There are choices you make by selection, by rejection.
