HYDERABAD:The Children’s Fine Art Gallery ( a Daira art Gallery initiative ) in collaboration with State Art Gallery is organising an art based summer camp for children, teenagers and adults. The gallery has designed art exercises using several Indian artists artworks as the base and foundation to explore art in a holistic manner.

‘’The six weeks’ art camp has a well-designed structure wherein the participants will be exploring art as a process, open to be transformed and fluid to evolve into extensively creative territories. The freedom of expression and the manner of executing/reaching, a concrete visual form is an ecstatic journey to which the participants will be introduced, ’explained Atiya and Atika Amjad, the
curators of the camp.

The workshop looks forward to introducing to the art enthusiasts from all age groups to the style, composition, colour palette and the concepts manifested by well-known artists through their expressions. The inclusion of varied media during the camp encompasses interesting activities which will initiate and influence deep involvement of the participants. The integrated art exercises included in the workshop are designed to enhance and accelerate/encourage the participants to look, interpret, draw, colour, write and perform. Four weeks of the camp will be dedicated to four artists,Thota Vaikuntam, MF
Husain, Raja Ravi Verma  and the Cartography week inspired by Govind Biswas.

In cartography works, the participants will prepare route maps,
create different visual representations of areas and imagine visual journey of exquisite experiences, like view from hot air balloon and many more through exercises.
 During each week, the participants will concentrate upon the body of work by one artist. The works created during the week will completely revolve around the style, concept and composition created by the artist. The participants will be introduced to the intricacies of the artist’s oeuvre and will also be encouraged to experiment and explore the art works in independent manners and styles. The workshop will conclude into an art exhibition wherein the art works executed during the six weeks will be displayed.
 
The camp begins from April 17 and continues till May 26, 2017 at The Telangana State Gallery of Fine Art, Kavuri Hills
