HYDERABAD: In a first of its kind, a team of adventurous businessmen takes on national integrity and oneness under the theme One India as they tour the capital cities of the 29 states in the country. The five adventurous gentlemen in a Ford Endeavour and one on a bike, hailing from Ahmedabad, have taken the Prime Minister’s ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative as an inspiration and has decided to mingle their passion for adrenaline rush with patriotism.

The team comprising Mahendra Patel, Anil Gemawat, Arjit Prajapati, Alpesh Shah and Satyen Engineer started their journey from Ahmedabad on the January 26 and have completed traversing seven capital cities. They were felicitated by Amigos Autus in Hyderabad on the February 2. The adventure infused with nationalism trip will take them to all the capital cities in the country as they cross them and interact with citizens from all walks of life and know their opinions on One India. They will be presenting the opinions collected from the citizens to the Prime Minister. They will be greeted with a grand reception by the chief Minister of Gujarat when they head back to Gandhinagar on February 23 after transversing 14,819 kms across the nation.

“We Indians, if we can overcome our regional and religious differences and come out of it, we can be one of the most advanced countries in all spheres,” says Anil Gemawat. “So far we are getting a lot of Jai Hinds when we leave after interactions with students, youth, etc.,” he adds.
The team will also take on the nuisance of honking and noise pollution with the idea proposed by one of the members of the team, Satyen Engineer called ‘Why Horn’. “In order to tackle the menace of unnecessary honking we have come up with a prototype of the Why Horn machine. This system works on having to pay for honking after a driver has finished the number of honks allowed for a vehicle in a day. This we believe will deter drivers from unnecessary honking and also solve the huge traffic honking problem as the traffic cops cannot go after every offender,” Satyen tells us.

With this huge ambition of spreading the message of unity in diversity along with awareness on the unnecessary honking and its implications on health and welfare of the citizens, they are making their adventures a purposeful one.
The team is looking forward to an all coastal trip from Kandla to Kanyakumari on remote rural roads avoiding highways and hotels.. They are looking forward to interacting with the local rural population and their hospitality as they go to various destinations through the journey. This they believe will give them an insight into the lives and perceptions of the rural populace.
