

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency on Saturday announced a re-exam for 49 candidates who appeared for the All India Ayush Post graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET). These candidates who took up the Ayurveda paper of AIAPGET could not complete their exam due to a power failure at a centre in Jaipur.
In an official release, the NTA said, “At the Shri Satya Sai PG College Centre in Jaipur, where 192 candidates appeared for the examination, 49 candidates could not complete the examination due to power failure at the centre.” The exam is held in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
A source familiar with the development, said, “The power supply got disrupted at the college centre. While 143 candidates waited for the power supply to resume and completed their paper, the 49 students did not do so.”
Sharing the details on re-exam, NTA said the test for those impacted by the power cut will be held at Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women, Jaipur, on September 1, at 10 am.
A total of 35,837 candidates appeared for the exam at 200 centres across the country. “The examination was completed for 35,788 candidates,” the NTA said.
The exam is held in two shifts with those appearing for Homoeopathy, Siddha and Unani paper taking up the exam in the 3 pm to 5 pm shift. Details will be shared through the revised Admit Card issued for these candidates.
The firm, Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited, is the agency which conducted the exam, said the NTA.
