MANGALURU: Music has no barriers of language, caste, creed or religion, so anyone can sing any song in any place, said Salim Marchant, who is one of the famed Bollywood music director duo - Salim-Sulaiman of Bollywood, on Friday.
Salim-Sulaiman were in Mangaluru as part of a promotional programme.
Salim said there should be no controversy when it comes to singing a song related to any religion by anyone. A musician may prefer Hindustani or South Indian or religious songs. There should not be any objection to music as it is beyond barriers, he said. His comment was followed by objections against Suhana, the participant in a TV channel reality show who sung a Hindu devotional song. He also pointed out that the reality shows produced many talents in singing. Budding talents have got many chances to exhibit their challenge. Many talented singers have been discovered through reality shows, he said.
