BENGALURU: MOST patients treated at government hospitals on Thursday due to the strike in private hospitals were satisfied with the treatment. “There has been a 25% increase in the new admissions due to the strike,” said Dr B R Mohan, Resident Medical Officer, K C General Hospital in Malleswaram. “The patients are getting adequate treatment and we were well prepared,” he added. Anitha, who is accompanying a patient, was satisfied with the treatment at the government hospital. “I feel government hospitals are way better than private hospitals.

The treatment and the medications are being provided on time,” she added. “There has been an increase in the number of patients due to the strike. We are busy and are unable to get any rest. There has been a huge increase in the flow of crowd,” said S Bharathi, a nurse. “There is no issue with the treatment. We are being provided with proper facilities,” said Shivakumar, a patient from Jayanagar General hospital. Dr Linge Gowda, Director, Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, said, “We did not see much rush.” Dr Asha Benkappa, director, IGICH, said, “We had our usual crowd. I feel the strike has not contributed to our load as we have our own loyal clients.”
